Edna Mae (Sparks) Weingart

Edna Mae Weingart of Harwinton born July 8, 1925 passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Sparks. She was proceeded in death by her husband Ralph John Weingart June 21,1999 after 55 years of marriage. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Mae Rinaldi and her husband Carl of Harwinton, one son, David Ralph Weingart and his wife Dolly of Harwinton. Three grandchildren; Kevin Rinaldi and his wife Michelle of Harwinton; Melissa Pietrafesa and her husband Anthony of Harwinton; and Michael Weingart and his wife Jodi of Boca Raton, Florida. Four step-grandchildren; Justin Santinelli of NewYork,New York; Amber Santinelli of Boca Raton, Florida; Christopher Buhrman of Mt. Joy, Pennsylvania; and Michelle Hess of Boonsboro, Maryland. Six great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren, and 2 step-great great grandchildren. She is survived by one sister, Janet Benoit of Keene New Hampshire and several nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by 6 sisters. She was a member of Harwinton Congregational Church, and was a long time bingo player and loved animals. Visitation will be at Phalen Funeral Home, Torrington on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00. Services will be at Harwinton Congregational Church on Saturday Sept 30, at 10:00 AM followed by burial at Hill Side Cemetery, Torrington. .
