Purcell & Battistoni families: Doreen and the Battistoni family and I go back to grammar school in Burrville and then thru THS where we rode the bus together. We were a close knit little community where everyone knew everyone else. Her parents were supportive in the PTA and the BFD. My sincerest condolences for your loss and may she rest peacefully.

I will remember my aunt Doreen as being a most positive and resilient person, even when faced with the uncertainties that challenged her life. Our family and her friends heard and saw her strength each day. I can only hope that all those in her life will remember her and speak of her love, her caring, her wit, and her will to carry on day to day. We should all take note of Doreen's liveliness and experiences. It is only then that we will learn how to react to our own personal trials of the past, present, and future.

I had the pleasure of working with Doreen at Marshalls, Inc. in Avon in the late 70's and early 80's. I recall many laughs with her and her smile. Although I have not spoken with her in many years as life took us in different directions I was saddened to hear of her passing. My prayers for the entire family as you cope with this loss.
