Janice and family,

Words can't express the sorrow I feel at Dave's passing. Although we didn't hang out together except in the Center Church Choir, I always thought of Dave as a good friend. He helped me get my confidence in singing, he always had us laughing, and his storytelling was one-of-a-kind. And, we always celebrated Davey-mass.

I always loved the lunch bunch get-togethers at your house.

I posted a couple of pictures on the Photographs page that showed Dave at his best, in costume and having a ball.

My heart goes out to you all.

I am very sorry for your loss. I had Mr. Capolupo as a math teacher at Vogel. He made an impression on me and instilled a love of math. He was also memorable because of his unique sense of humor in the classroom. He made math fun. I remember him being quite the jokester. He will be missed and this is a great loss for the community.

Dave and my sister worked together years ago at Torrington Middle School. Dave brought her an angel figurine during her illness which she treasured until her last day. I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. Cap's passing. I've always remembered his sharp and witty sense of humor. Though he loved to joke around, he had the highest expectations for us and I knew him to be professional and dependable. On 9/11, he made sure everyone in our cluster was alright (both his students and his colleagues), keeping us all on track until we could go home to our families to process. He was one of the best math teachers I ever had and I am grateful to have known him.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. C was my sister's homeroom teacher at Vogel and was my teacher. He always smiled and was always joking. He was a member of my church and was always involved in the Holiday Craft Fair that happened last weekend. I wondered why he wasn't in his regular spot behind the table singing Christmas carols and enjoying himself. So sorry to hear of his passing.
