Adeline (Barbieri) Albano

Adeline Barbieri Albano of Torrington, 92, passed away on September 10, 2017, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.

Adeline was born on May 26, 1925, a daughter of the late Anthony Barbieri, a Torrington police officer, and the late Marion Falivene Barbieri. She was the wife of the late Lawrence R. Albano. Adeline leaves her beloved family: her son Lawrence (Lonnie) C. Albano, and his wife, Christine, of Goshen, CT; her daughter Laurie Albano O’Neill of Lexington, MA; and her grandchildren, Spencer L. Albano and Jordan T. Albano.   

She is predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Barbieri Graziani; her brother, Richard J. Barbieri; and a grandson, Colin T. O’Neill.

Adeline grew up in Torrington, attended local schools, and worked as a bookkeeper for local businesses. In her later years she delighted in watching the birds at her feeder and enjoyed the many flowering plants in her garden and on her porch.

Private services were held at the Phalen Funeral Home and burial was in St. Francis Cemetery in Torrington.
